This make assigning attributes easier than previous edition. Note that in SR6 all metatypes start with attribute rating 1 in all attributes (yes, even a Troll start with strength 1).Attribute priority work just like in SR5.And for non-human characters they can also be spend on attributes that have a metatype maximum rating that is higher than 6 (so body, strength and willpower for a dwarf and agility or charisma for an elf etc). For emerged characters they can be spend on Resonance. And for awakened characters they can be spend on Magic. Attribute Adjustment Points can be spend on Edge. In SR6 metatype priority give you Attribute Adjustment Points rather than Special Attribute Points. In 6th edition you can more easy pick a metatype that you feel match your character backstory rather than picking a metatype based on game mechanics. In SR6 you can pick any metatype no matter the metatype priority you pick.Let's focus on differences between 5th and 6th edition then :-) Metatype. They both start out with having a character concept and they both use the priority system, so I guess you are familiar with that already? (this is otherwise the bigger issues new players have with chargen) I have gotten used to 5e Shadowrun character creation "Watch your back, shoot straight, conserve ammo, and never, ever, cut a deal with a dragon." Living Community (Where you can play online) Subreddits For that please check out /r/ShadowrunReturns for help. Sadly our nova hot community isn't the best place to discuss the mechanics discussion or troubleshooting the video games. Mostly the pen and paper role playing game, but also the deck building card game, video games, and literature of Shadowrun. Discussion is primarily aimed at exploring narratives found in the Sixth World. Here at /r/Shadowrun we talk shop about all things in the shadows.
